I'll finally be getting my first leo girl from the Gecko Ring somewhere between my birthday (December 27th) and January 6th. The shipping date hasn't been decided yet (I need to get my payment sent), and I've been checking the weather like a fretting mother already.
My questions came after I saw the forecast for Portland, OR and Ontario, CA. Ontario has much higher evening temperatures than Portland. Ontario is in the 40s at night, and Portland can be around 36-38 degrees fahrenheit. Meanwhile Ontario's temps during the day are going to be in the 60s, and Portland in the 40s.
Would she really be okay with a heat pack?
Also, (this is a bit more random), but when she arrives should I let her calm down in the deli cup for a bit or immediate transport her into her new tank? I imagine shipping can be a stressful experience for leopard geckos, so I'm just trying to figure out how to make the homecoming very welcoming.
