Leila has been having trouble passing her poop lately, and it takes her awhile to completely push it out completely. I'm going to start soaking her in warm water, but is there any reason for this?

I have and have always had her on paper towel. I just recently switched to silkworms, and she ate and pooped for the first time in a week today.

Can coldness be a factor? Because I've been having my window open recently and I live in Connecticut where it's been in from mid 60s to mid 70s (save for today but I closed my window).

Like humans or any animal, they can just get a little backed up sometimes. The warm soaks work wonders though. You can give a drop olive oil also.

Lower temps disrupt digestion. Disrupted digestion causes irregular elimination. Maybe you can move her tank to a more suitable location while you enjoy spring with your window open.

Maybe the constipation is related to the food prey switch over to silks.Put a drop of mineral oil on her snout.That will loosen things up.Tells us how you made out.

Alright thank you I've had the window closed since monday night, and I've put the mineral oil on her snout. I'll tell you how she is the next time she poops.

Yay I just watched her pooped and she pushed it out fine
