I'm just wondering if its ok to include some cornflakes in my roach food. I bought some breakfast muesli with dried fruits for my dubia colony, and realised it has cornflakes and sugar in it. Is it still ok to use as gutload? I know my sister's chinchillas can't eat anything corn-related. How about the sugar? Is the high sugar content a no-no?

I wouldnt, but its more of a preference for me. I am not sure if there is actually a true issue with it.

Seeing is believing.

Bonnie, I don't think it will harm any prey
but if they don't eat it you will know to supply something else.
I have tested many foods on my meal worms
(never roaches) in an effort to make better prey for the geckos..........
Sugar coated cereals, almonds, raisins, etc. were left uneaten.
But I supplied other grain and moisture foods at the same
time to see their preference.
Take care. Hj
