I crossed a 1.0 Mack Blazing Blizzard to a 0.1 Blizzard. As a result, I got these:

By right, I should not get any Super Mack Blizzard in the equation. But, what about the dark baby among the lot? Is that a super? Or is that just a normal blizzard? I still could not see inside its eyes yet because it just hatched when I took the photograph.

Below is a more close up photograph of the specimens:

Blackie - I can't detect any visual iris. Either it's too small or it's a super.

Whitie - the eyes are dark yet I could still see the iris.

If somebody could help, then it would be great.

Thanks
:)

Interesting babies they look great. Im sure somone on here will be able to help you but the dark one dont look like a ss blizzard to me. It may help people if you could post pics of the parents.

The dark one doesnt look like a SS blizzard to me either... there is usually a significant light colored line going down the spine. I would say the dark one is just a regular blizzard with a lot of "eclipse like" pigment in the eye. Blizzards have the part of their gene that makes their eyes look like they have the eclipse gene sometimes but they dont.. its just part of the blizzard gene.

I have seen other babies look identical to the light ones on here.

When you said you crossed a Mack Blazing Blizzard to a blizzard? Was that correct? If so you cannot have a SS blizzard because the other parent is not mack. But it almost looks like you might have Murphys patternless in them??? The yellow makes me suspect that, but I could be wrong.

It is common for blizzards to have yellow coloring to them. Use to call them banana blizzards. It might be a mack bllizzard with the dark eyes coming from the blizzard gene not the eclipse gene.

I am fully aware that blizzards can and do yellow out. I mentioned Murphy's because there is alot of yellow. True banana blizzards are made using Murphy's, the yellowish ones are not true banana blizzards. As he was asking for opinions I was offering a suggestion, because they look like more than the pairing suggests.
It could be a mack blizzard, but I was simply pointing either a mistake calculating, or a typo ans that pairing cannot produce a SS.
