Couple of Issues

My gecko went from eating 15 mealies a day, to now 3-5. He hasn't been going to the bathroom lately, either. He doesn't come out of his hides as much anymore, to add to the issue. He hasn't lost any weight, and the temps are right. Help?

About your leo:
- Sex: Male
- Age & Weight: About 3 1/2 months. Weight unknown.
- How long have you owned your leo: About 3 months
- Where was he/she obtained: Pet store, but he was delivered to there by a breeder and I was there when he arrived, so I guess I should just say breeder.

A) Health/History
- How often do you handle your leo: 5-15 minutes a day.
- Is your leo acting any different today? If so how does he/she normally act which differs from now.: He is grumpier than usual. When he comes out he doesn't want to be held or even looked at, and if I do anything he does that adorable tail-swishing sign of anger. Truthfully, that only has been happening every other day lately. But other than that, he has been eating a ton less. He went from eating 12-15 mealies a day, to now about 3-5.
- Has he/she had any problems in the past, if so please describe.: Nope, he's a pretty healthy gecko. ;)
B) Fecals
- Describe: Eh, they look normal.
- When was the last time he/she went: Around 9:00 pm on 10/4.
C) Problem
- Please briefly describe the problem and how long it has been going on: The problem is pretty much his eating and pooping. It's been like this for maybe a week or two.

Housing:
A) Enclosure
- Size: 20 gallon (long)
- Type: Glass tank
- Type of substrate: Reptile Carpet
- Hides, how many, what kind: Two. One is the All Living Things Desert Cave (which is his warm hide.) The other is the Fluker's Castle Crib (which is the cool/humid hide.) Sometimes if he seems a little bored, though, I'll put a paper towel tube in there for a couple days.
B) Heating
- Heat source: UTH
- Cage temps: Hot side is about 93 degrees F. and the cool side is about 83 degrees F.
- What are you using to measure your temps: Thermometers
- Do you have any lights: Just natural light, and then if I turn the room's light on, there's that too.
C) Cage mates: N/A

Describe Diet:
A) Typical diet
- What you're feeding: Mealies, I put 12 in the dish since he hasn't been eating the 15, but still quite of few go to waste. :( But I put them in the dish around 8:00 or 9:00pm every night.
- How are you feeding: Sometimes handfed, but usually left in the dish.
B) Supplements (describe how often)
- What vitamin/minerals are you using: Tetafauna ReptoCal.
- What are you gut loading food with: Sliced carrots and sliced apples.

The cool side is a little to warm. i would stay under 80 degrees. you are taking care of him right besides that. maybe someone else can give u a better answer.

All i can say is that if he isn't loosing weight then there's not much to worry about at the moment. you could just keep an eye on him for a few weeks and see how it goes.
as winter comes in they do tend to slow down their eating, many might even go into a kinda brumation period.

It would of course always be a good idea to pop to the vets for a health check to make sure every thing is fine though. regular parasite checks are always a good thing because as im sure you already know they can make animals feel pretty rough.
