Well heres a question..i have a full grown male beardie and every time i put new paper in the tank after he poos he tears it up. i put him on paper towel and i get the same result. I have him on tile tho and after he poos he just runs through it. I'm not always home so it does dry up on him. Is there anyway to calm him down? and what should i use as a substrate? I do give him baths after he gets feces on him tho. IF anyone can give pictures of their set up it would be much appreciated.

When you say watery stool, can you be more specific?
There should be some liquid when they go.
But there should also be a deff turd/urate...lol
Watery stool can be temps, diet, parasites just to name a couple things.

Hi Leo, don't worry its not just you lol. I use tile in all my adults tanks and shelf liner in my juv and hatchling racks. I have one female that unless I catch her right after she poos she will run threw it every single time. It does become annoying after a while but she is so cute its hard to stay mad at her. Needless to say she gets a lot of baths..:wall:

Oh yes! Sounds like a very typical male-beardie-thing. :) Mine likes his daily baths, and if he doesn't get his bath on time, I come home to find the whole viv smothered in poo.

Tom is right, if the watery stools are happening frequently, something is wrong.

the watery stool is not frequent at all.. i usually give a bath a week unless he runs in poo. this time he had 2 baths in a row so it might just be due to over hydration. He is very active and has temps of 105
