Crazy Question

I would like to know can you breed a Mother and Son or a Father and Daughter. The question was asked to me by one of my friends and i have no idea about this one. He said something along the lines of to get maby stripes or something like that. Is it possable to do this? Just a crazy question. Because i have never done this. I thought it would have birth problems?

I've heard you can breed parent to child, but not child to child. I think that is messed up, though lol.

Really. That is messed up. Thats crazy what do you get if you do some crazy gecko or something?

No... I think people do it if they are trying for a specific (line-bred?) morph. For example (keep in mind, I do not have any breeding experience, this is just my understand of past posts on the subject), say you have very dark orange tangerine parents, and you are trying for even darker. They have two babies, 1 dark tang female, and one... some different morph because the parents were het for it. I think some people would then breed the father to the daughter in hopes of getting an even darker tang color.

Keep in mind I could be WAAAAYYYYYY off here. I am sure you will get more "qualified" responses throughout the day.

Thank You very much. The reason I was asking is because i have 2 eggs do to hatch in 40 days. And I'm hope I'm i get a really nice one better then the female i have know. Shes still pretty. I want brighter colors. And my male is a proven breeder.
