Crazy Tangerine....

Kind of a cute/weird story I thought I'd share. I have a SHT male...He's about 5 months old. I don't usually handle my gecko's to often. Just due to stress on them. So this lil guy the last week and a half or so...Everytime I go into the cage or past it he comes out and starts clawing at the glass. I try to feed (they always have mealies available) he's not interested stands at the corner I'm at, pawing at it. I usually ignore him, finish up and go about the rest of my day. He'll sit at the corner watching, waiting for a bit then buggers off into his hide. Today I was cleaning/bleaching/mite proofing everything. Set back up his cage put him in and right to the corner he comes again, doing his thing. I pick him up he crawls into my shirt, pops his head out of the collar and sits like that. :main_rolleyes: So I go about doing the same to my tortoises cage and he remains in that position. Just chillin' out! I wish I had taken a picture cause it looked so funny/cute. He stayed like that, after awhile (30mins or so) he started to get more restless so I put him back and he happily went to sleep. It's like that's all he wanted and he was happy - weird! I've had Leo's for 8 years now and none of them EVER did that.

The pawing at the glass is exactly what my leo does and with Greedo it always means "I want to get out and play!!"
Sometimes she also stands on her back legs doing this, its extremely cute.
Obviously I cant say if this is with your gecko (Im no expert only had one!!) but I hope it helps knowing another gecko does the same!
If ever she does that when I pick her up she goes all floppy and licks me, and enjoys her time out, then she seems less enthusiastic after a while, I put her back in the tank, and shes cool about it and sleeps!
When she doesnt want to come out she hides her head in her hide. Lol.

Aww, some of mine do the same thing. Loki especially loves polo shirts. She just lays under the collar and takes a nap as I go about my business.

Mine does the exact same thing! She only ever does it to the front of the tank which faces my bed. She loves curling up in hoodies. Sometimes she sits and people will think she's a broach untill she starts wandering around again. She also likes sitting on my neck... but that tickles!

I wish my leo would do that. Maybe in a couple of months when he gets to no me more.
