crested egg question

I have an adult pair of cresties in a 40 gal tank, lots of fake plants, cork bark hides, etc.I have a laying box in a corner, which my female decided not to use.I found 2 eggs while scooping bedding out of the tank, I noticed them right before I would've dumped the scoop into the trash bag.I put them in a deli cup in vermiculite, but I have no idea of the eggs original orientation. I'm sure that they got rolled over, I wasn't expecting to find eggs when I was scooping, you know?
my question is, are crested eggs like snake eggs, if you roll them the embryos die? This is my first batch of intentional gecko eggs, I've accidentally bred tokays in the past.I've bred plenty of turtles (Spotteds, 3 kinds of muds / musks, etc),but never intentionally geckos.

Yea...your supposed to keep them in the original position, they are just like any other reptiles eggs. Hopefully they will be OK.

I will say that I had a similar experience...

I have a female that likes to use the potted plant soil... didn't realize it and grabbed the plant just after she laid the eggs... and out fell 2 eggs on to the floor.

Put them in the incubator and marked them from that point on. And guess what... They hatched! I often wonder at what point does the orientation matter.

If they are laid and quickly moved, has enough developed to make this critical, or does it still take a while for the "good stuff" in the egg to attach to the wall and start developing.
