Today I was watching my 2 female crested geckos in their exo terra terrarium. They are both housed in the biggest exo terra together, with plenty of food, water, moisture, and space. While I was watching them one of the female who is slightly larger than the other one, jumped down to the other crested gecko and bit her. It wasn't just a small nibble. The head of the other crested gecko being bit was INSIDE the other crested geckos mouth!! I have NO idea why this happened but do any of you guys know why it happened or whats going on?? Directly after that the slightly smaller one reacted fast and jumped to the other side. But it seems like the slightly bigger crested gecko does this a lot because I hear the smaller one squeeking sometimes. It also happened early this morning and it is definately scaring me because I don't know what's going on. They arn't much different in size but it almost seemed like the other one was trying to eat her! I'm not too sure though, can you guys please help me out?!

Seperate them, pretty simple. Sometimes seperating for about a week will fix the problem, but it may be a perminate thing also. So get an extra aquarium and plop the more aggressive female in there for a week. Take her out and try it again. If she fights again then you will know she needs to eb seperated at all times. What you have to understand is that reptiles are not social creatures, they dont hang out with one another, they only come together to mate then part. And yes even females can be aggressive. And there will ALWAYS be a chance geckos can fight reguardless of sex when housed together. It is just something you need to keep in mind when trying to group animals.
