My gecko recently stopped eating. I saw the recipes for gecko soup on here for gecko's who stop eating. Not only does it seem like quite a process - it also seems like it could get fairly pricy with all the different ingredients. So I decided to see if they sold anything in stores first. I figured I can always try the soup if it doesn't work.
I went to my local shop and they suggested zoo med's "gecko diet" which is basically a powder you mix with water and becomes a milkshake of sorts for the gecko. They were out of it so I headed down to my local petco (i know) and they gave me "Repashay Superfoods: Crested Gecko Diet" and said it might work. From the label it appeared similar: mentioned mixing water with the powder to form a thick feeding substance.
I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this before I go ahead and feed it to my gecko. Do you know if its safe to use? Have you tried it yourself? The ingredients listed are as follows:
Honey Powder, Hemp seed meal, Whey protie isolate
Bee pollen, fig powder, wheat germ meal, brewers yeast, calcium carbonate
dicalcium phosphate, yeast culture, spirulina algae, rosehips powder,
kelp meal, haemotoccocus algae, marigold extract, rosemary extract
yucca extract, vitamin premix, priobotic premix,
natural mixed tocopherals (for preservative)
Anything on that list jump out as something you've heard leopard gecko's should definitely not eat?
Any help is appreciated - thanks!
