I have never seen my crestie girl shed! Would I have missed it? She used to be the size of my pinky finger and now she the size of my palm....so she is growing. What is the highest the humidity can be in her tank? I made her a warmer blanket because my house is so cold at night and she loves it, but it brings up the humidity. I can't find anything on the right level of humidity.

Thanks all~

You probably missed her shedding. It goes pretty fast, and they usually eat the evidence. If you keep an eye on her, you'll notice her color will get very dull right before, and then she'll start making a bunch of noise as she rubs on plants and bark to help scrape the skin off. I had mine for months before I saw him shed.

Humidity is good; it helps them shed easily. The goal is 40-50%, and since it's winter and the heat is on the air is much drier so you may have to spray your girl more often to keep her humid. I've never heard of anything bad happening from too much humidity though, so you probably don't have to worry. Anyone else know something about this?

You can miss it easy if they shed they move pretty quick with it and humidity is 40-505 like Amanda said but watch very carefully and you can tell. Like for mine when ever his lips turn a light nasty color i know he is about to shed in a week.

Well thanks for the comments, I don't feel so bad now. Maybe with her new set up I'll be able to see her better.
I looked at the island that they are from and humidity stays at about 80% there, so I'm sure she is happy.
