Height is more important than length, always with arboreal species.

If you are going to feed CGD you can use any substrate, coco fiber, organic soil, etc...

If feeding crickets, paper towels work best.

Keep humidity between 60-80% Can have a water dish to help with that. Mist a few times a day, especially before night when they become active. I have found, since I feed CGD, that organic soil and moss kept moist help keep humidity up.

Temps: 73-79 approx. no higher than 80. Can use an under the tank heater.

No UVB/UVA lights needed, they are nocturnal.
Need 12 hour light, 12 hour light off, so, 12 hours day, 12 hours night.

Branches, vines, lots of plants so they can hide.

Here's mine, right now its just a 20 long on its side, but I have an exo terra but the doors broke in shipping so I have to wait. The problem with this tank now, is it doesn't hold humidity at all.
I did just add paper towel on top of my substrate because I wanted to see if he has been going to the bathroom, haha.

I can't show you any pics since my camera's charger is still hiding on me.

Tank 1: Fake spider plant attached to the lid with craft wire. Fake vines also attached to the lid or propped. Magnetic rock feeding station. Glass vase with live pothos cuttings. Substrate of orchid bark, sphagnum moss, eco earth & potting soil. Live ivy plant. Fake rock waterfall that's only used as rock--the noise was annoying. 3 Where the Wild Things Are figures.

Items in the other tanks that Ferrous does not have:
Tank 2: Large tree root--fake. 2 real plants. Fake pitchers plant & horsetail rush.
Tank 3: Rock cliff (fish tank accessory that I filled in the base & applied a super magnet to), Small fake tree root with live plant.

Check out all your local pet shops now since they seem to be marking a lot of the great fake plants down to $3-4. My guys all love hanging out on the vines, but I haven't seen those go on clearance anywhere. Don't skip the fish depts. There are a lot of great accessories there that can be modified for a crestie's home. Make sure you block the holes that they could climb into & get stuck. I stuff them with the substrate or use them as places to stuff live plants into.

I'll update my cage pics once I locate the charger

I prefer live plants in all my set ups. Just a personal thing. I think it looks great when the plants and the entire tank sort of take on a "life" of their own. It also seems to help with humidity and temperature regulation. My baby cresties live in the tank pictured and love to curl up on the leaves. The tank is a 29 gallon with an acrylic door on the side. I have pictures of this when it was being constructed on this forum somewhere.
But whatever you do make sure you put something together that you can take care of and will meet all the needs of your geckos: give 'em some height, some hiding areas, no direct sunlight or cold/hot drafts and you should be fine.
