I was going to build a climbing structure for Cresteds out of 1" PVC,and maybe drill and attach fake foliage.WHAT DO Think,can they climb this pipe?also is a margarine size tub a good moist hde/laybox?

Yes and yes.
The breeder I just got 3 of my cresties from uses nothing but PVC (and fake foliage) for his geckos.
It's cheap and contrary to popular belief, it is safe to use.
