Hello everyone,
i recently had an incident with a cricket and my gecko. I was walking by the tank and noticed a cricket chewing on the end of his tail. and the gecko was just sitting there. I quickly removed the cricket, cleaned the wounds with peroxide and called the vet. he said neosporin twice daily on the wounds. however since then the tip of the tail has shriveled up, and a large open sore has appeared on the side of the tail. Is this the tail trying to fall off, or should I get him into the vet? I haven't had much free time the last few days to call and follow up with the vet, so i was hoping someone here would have experience with a situation like this.
any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance.
