I dont wana any crickets escaping in my room, so about how high of a container would be perfect to hold crickets in?
I wana be able to take the lid off to put food in there and grab some when i feed my gecko without having to worry about them jumping/escaping out.

I plan on using mealworms and superworms (when he gets bigger) but i also want a variety and crickets always seem like a good choice, so i just wanted to know about how high should my container for them be so they dont escape.

well u could use one of the regular cricket keepers but they are expensive, im keeping them ina ten gallon tank witha screen lid thing.

the lid its about ten bucks and the tank ten aswell some petcos have a dollar per gallon on fish tanks, or u could buy one used from craigslist.

also one of those rubber maid containers should work ( the 25-30 gallons they are about 15 bucks) but u still need to make holes for them to breath and some mesh so they dont get away through those holes

I was thinking about one of those container and then just putting some small holes on the lid. Would they be able to get to the center of the lid if i put holes there?

i dont think so, but u could also put at 3/4 of the way up some clear packaging tape just incase i was told that if they were able to climb as soon as they hit the tape they will slide down,

Don't get crickets if you don't want them to escape. They will. No matter how high of a container you have, you will find crickets chirping around your house that escaped during feeding etc. Crickets suck.
