This really stinks. He was such a great guy! I learned a lot of stuff from him. It is amazing how many peoples lives he has touched. This morning I was in a restaurant having breakfast and the news came on the T.V. talking about how he died, half the restaurant got up and was watching the report.

I was also watching animal planet tonight, they were showing old interviews with him, his friends, and family, they showed his daughter Bindi, she was talking about him and towards the end she said how much she "Loves Her Dad", I actually broke out crying.

He will be missed.

I cried too Jeanne, I feel so bad for the family. He was truly an entertaining person, and I for one will miss him.

I actually found out about this by reading it here earlier
While Steve Irwin was often criticized and made fun of-
I believe that he did more than any other person in trying to bring an acceptance and understanding of the world of reptiles into everyones living rooms via the TV
I am also saddened by this tragic loss to both his family and the rest of the world that he provided so much insight into a subject that was long ignored

He died doing something that he loved-which is the way that i would hope to go when it's my time
