Our new baby Crocodile Skink, we have one more egg waiting to hatch and the mum is looking gravid again.

We have taken it away from the parents because of previous events. This pair have laid eggs before, the first egg hatched and we kept the baby in with the parents. Everything was good until she laid another egg and then the parents turned on the baby in with them. So we took the egg away from the parents and incubated it but unfortunately it did not hatch.

This time we have kept the eggs in with the parents but the minute the baby hatches we are taking it away from the parents and putting it in a rub to raise on its own. The mum looks gravid again.

Both parents are very aware of where the egg is in their rub as they get very twitchy when i check the egg. They are awesome animals but they prefer to be left to their own to be honest.
