Curiosity regarding racks

I have some curiosity about gecko racks...

It seems that geckos have alot of specific needs regarding housing, such as space, lighting, heating, etc...yet in a rack they live in a tupperware tub with no problem. I'm just confused as to how they are okay in these tubs.

Leopard geckos require no light. They are nocturnal animals. Ever since i started using racks, I have noticed that my geckos seem more relaxed and even gain weight back faster after laying. With racks, there is a warm side and a cool side just like an aquarium. Depending on the size of the tub in the rack, there is just as much floor space as a tank.. They are a lot easier to clean also..
