Curious on how much I could get if I sold him.

Hey everybody,

It's been forever since I've posted here. Anyways, I picked up a yellow patternless gecko off line from a woman who couldnt keep him anymore. He was in excellent condition. I never really knew what he was worth, I dont want to sell him. I'd just like to see what he's worth.

He's a very pretty boy, and has quite a bit of carrot-tail. Reminds me of the classic Ray Hine morph. Depending on his age, genetics, if he's proven, and who's selling/buying him, he could be worth anywhere from $35-$100. BTW, he should not be referred to as a "patternless", but a "hypo" instead.

SHTCTB - Depending on the grade maybe about 40 bucks? I'm not sure, I'd wait for other responses tho before setting it in stone. Sure is a handsome boy, looks like my Grendel right down the the dull carroting on the tail (minus his 2 paradox spots). Either way, he's a nice pick up. :)

Thanks. And I apologize for not getting the name of the morph right. Never been to good with trying to name the morphs and things like that. I know this is kind of a wasted topic. But I'd just like to really know what he's worth. I mean the lady had him listed for sale online for $5.00 with a tank and a bunch of accessories, and I got him absolutely free because she just wanted him gone.

No biggie on the morph. I know I don't know even half of them. :p I just knew this one cause he's a spitting image of mine.

And hell, free... you got a killer deal and the fact that he was in good health + tank and accessories you made out big time.

And to panther - Yeah, and especially with inernet ads. Seeing some of the threads people post about the horrors they came across when it comes to internet ads like craigslist and stuff. Seems like the lady had enough sense to still take care of it while she still had it in her care. Big plus. Now if he would've stayed there longer, who knows? Glad he got out and into a new home.

I agree. So then I made out pretty good when I got him then? I mean he's in excellent health. He was healthy when I got him from the lady and he's just as good now. Even gained alittle bit of weight since I've had him.

Yup. Wehn you think about it you didn't have to put out any kind of money most people do for a set up (assuming you got what he needs) tank, hides, dishes, UTH, calcium powder, some kind of tank liner or substrate, if he came with any crickets or mealies. You might be looking at maybe $100 in supplies, give or take.

I had everything on hand to begin with. My previous and very first leopard gecko passed away from old age and I disinfected all of his stuff and his cage and just put the new gecko in it and when I got the new guy, Currently known as Marty. He came with a good bit of supplies.

He came with a tank, a couple hides, 2 brand new UTH heaters, and a couple of bowls I believe. All of which I still have.

A good rescue, and kudos to her for letting him go while he was still in good shape. I think once he's having optimal care, his colors will brighten up. He's a good looking guy :) Congrats.
