I personally think patience is all you need. I have 29 geckos and all are quite fond of me. Some more than others but they all know me and greet me when I am around their cages. I have only had one honest to goodness mean gecko and after a year of patience and tons of shedding baths she is much better. Hand feeding has improved relationships alot. Don't do it all the time but every other feeding has really made them respond positively to my presence. They will sniff and lick my hand and if there is no food the will just crawl right up. Just be patient your baby will come around.
Im having issues getting them to eat, i just recently got them. the tails are still really fat so im not overly worried. She let me handle her last night, got some good pics
