I have been in the process of making a lid for my 55 gal long tank since i purchased it about 6 months ago. Finally last weekend I sat down and planned out what i wanted to do and did it. For reference, here is what it was 2 weeks ago:

Looks nice. Is the whole thing solid though? I'd just be worried about there being enough ventilation.

Is the temp shown on the digital readout the warm side ground temp? If so, it should be at least 15 degrees F warmer in order for proper digestion.

There is about an 1/8th gap around the entire lid so plenty of air gets in there. After realizing just how bright the LED lights are, i have not turned them on, it is more of a novelty without function. I took the pictures at night so i had the lights turned on for a moment, not giving the tank time to fully warm up. The thermometer is measuring the temp about 4 inches above the surface. I have an infrared thermometer that i use to check the temps and the sand immediately in front of the in tank therm i have reads right around 100 and the large rocks in the corner read about 90 at all times.

I have 2 20 Gal UTH's on the right side because i already had one from my previous 20 gal and purchased another.

If you have a temp gun, there is really no need for the digital thermometer in the enclosure, especially measuring just ambient temps. It's unnecessary and your viv would look much better without it imo.
