Dangerous food?

Hello guys

I have a question regarding the food of my gecko.

My gecko does not have much interest in worms (tenebrio molitor). On the other hand he loves roaches (dubia blaptica) and super worms (zophoba morio).

Some people told me that my gecko could have serious problems because the adult roaches are too big for him (about 1.7 inches) and the superworms "bite" the gecko outwardly and inside (organism).

What is your opinion about it?

Thanks
Greetings

He could have problems getting the roaches down his digestive tract if the roaches are that big. Really depends on the size of the gecko. My juvenile will eat any roach that moves. Superworms can bite your gecko, but I doubt they could do the inside of your lizard any harm, especially after being crushed by the gecko's rather powerful jaws.

Well my gecko has only six months but devours adult roaches immediately.

Until this date he never had any problem with the digestion but I will get more attention.

Regarding the super worms I've heard it should smash their heads before giving geckos. How do you usually do?

I smoosh the heads of supers before feeding them to my geckos. I just grab them by the head with tweezers and give them a squeeze. This is more for the benefit of the worms not thrashing (my guys don't like that) or them getting away too quickly.

I wouldn't think a gecko would eat an insect that was entirely too large for them to digest. I mean, my (assumed) seven month old will eat five fully grown female crickets in a single feeding. I dunno where she puts them all.... I mean, the five crickets together are about half the size of her entire torso lol.
