Dark spots in belly?

I posted a picture on my tumblr of my "special needs" hatchling after feeding time looking particularly dramatic. Someone commented that the dark areas on the belly look like they could be injuries, like internal bleeding! Now I'm really concerned! He did just go through a terrible shed so perhaps he got bruises from that? I had noticed them, but thought they were just the darker organs, or some poo formation. What do you think?

Its quite low down so like it could just be food in the intestines waiting to pass.

If your worried seek a vet.

It also could be a dark colored organs such as the liver or spleen. If he's full the organs could have been pushed to the front and be more visible than when his stomach is empty. Unless he's acting really strangely I wouldn't worry. If he is showing signs of distress I would get him to a vet.

He goes pretty regularly when he eats. But that's the thing is he doesn't eat on his own because he has a notched eyelid so he can't see well. So I assist feed. I was scared when the other person said it could be damage and I thought I somehow hurt him by assist feeding. The thing that's not making me too concerned is that for some reason they spots only look really dark when I take a picture. In real life you can't really see them.

you can see them more when you take a picture because of the light from the flash. young geckos bellys are very see through, this changes as the get older, skin gets thicker and insides become less visable.
how are you assist feeding?

I rub the side of his mouth with a mealworm and he either bites it, or I place it in his mouth. Sometimes when he's being particularly uncooperative I make a mixture of Repashy Calcium Plus, squished mealworms, and chicken baby food and place a bit on the tip of his tongue with a syringe. I don't put it far back in fear of it going down the wrong pipe. I've tried the method of putting it on his nose and having him lick it off but he doesn't lick it, he just wipes it on my hand.
