Daytime/Night time heat question

In my geckos tank the hot spot is about 90-95 degrees F at all times. I've been reading around and it seems like some people turn off their lights at night to simulate a night time environment. Is beneficial for the gecko to have this daytime/night time heat environment? Or can i just leave the heat lamp on always? I use a red night bulb as the constant heat source in my geckos cage.

I use an under the tank heater and a red bulb in the daytime. I have a separate lamp I just set on the floor in front of all my tanks to stimulate day time.

At night, the bright lamp goes off and so does the red one, but I leave the UTH on for digestion.

Just any ol kind, I don't even remember, you can pick them up at a pet store for not too much money.

But you need one because belly heat is needed more then air temps for digestion.
