Dead skin left on tail?

Masterchief, my male, got done shedding about a week ago. There is still a strip of dead skin running along the underside of his tail. I don't know how to help him get that off. I haven't seen him trying to get it off anymore either, I don't know if he gave up? He has a moist hide, but he never uses it. Never has. Neither with moss, nor with coco fiber.

I tried soaking MC in warm water last night, and he seemed to enjoy that (he likes getting sprayed with water too), but the skin didn't get loose enough for me to grab it and pull it off. I'm afraid to mess with his tail too much. He is very comfortable with me now, and he doesn't mind me touching his tail so much anymore, but he still doesn't like me messing with it.

What do I do? All I can find through Google is soaking in warm water, and using a q-tip to rub it off. But nothing specific about the tail. Can I use a q-tip on his tail without him throwing his tail off? I don't know how easily that happens.

Also, I *think*, not sure, but I *think*, there might be a small piece of something stuck in his eye. It doesn't look like the skin he sheds, but it's something that's not there on the other side. It doesn't seem to bother him though. Any thoughts?

If it's not constricting the tail, I wouldn't worry a whole lot about it, to be honest. Keep giving him soaks, and it should come off just by rubbing it on his substrate, if I had to make a guess.

Oh good, thank you! The skin is just along the underside of the tail, not wrapped around it or anything, just kinda sits there.
I will simply continue the soaks then, since he seems to like them anyway. :)
