I have an egg that is dented and getting worse. Has gotten worse in just 24 hours. When can I cut it open. I think the baby has died. Was due to hatch in 4 days.

I had an egg that dented bad about 3 days before it was due. I let it be. About 3 days later, I had a beautiful hatchling running around :)

If this baby does make it its going to be very small. The other egg dented a week ago but quickly harden back up. This one just seems to be getting worse.

How long has it been incubating for?

It should be hatching any day. Do you have any pictures of the denting? To be based off of what's been said, it should be fine.

A trick I learned is that if they begin to dent rapidly is to bury them in the vermiculite, perlite, or what ever you use. Not deep but just enough to cover the top of the egg. It works most of the time, for me it did at least.
