hey everyone i was wondering if ur gecko has worms and the vet gives him the deworming syrum how long would it take for ur gecko to be back to normal and eating
Usually they will treat them in the office, and either tell you to come back in 2 weeks for another dose or give you the second dose and show you how to do it yourself. It really depends on the case though. some may need extra treatment. In cases where I have had to have animals treated it usually clears up after the second dose. Your vet sould be able to advise you on this info regarding your particular situation. I hope your gecko is ok. If it is not eating, and getting skinny talk to your vet about feeding a slurry, Marcia has a great one that you can find if you use the search on this site. Just type in Slurry and it should come up. Don't be afraid to ask your vet questions.
Good luck
My newest addition was diagnosed with hookworms after her 2 week "welcome home fecal". Allie took her last dose of pancur March 8th. It took her until April 10th to begin eating again. Which she did with a vengenge. Over an almost two month period she lost four grams. Since April 10th she has regained those four and put on two more to boot
That being said I dont believe there is a specific time frame. All leos will be different to some degree. Allie is now ovulating which may have slowed her eating down considerably as well.
