hi, i am confused about how to differentiate between diablo blanco and red eye blazing blizzard...

some blazing blizzard can have 2 red eyes too as eclipse can randomly pop up among blazing blizzard

diablo blanco has red eyes, so do some blazing blizzard

how can we differentiate between them?

thanks!!!:main_yes:

Im not sure about this either.
But, I asked Ron Tremper about it. He said that an eclipse due to the Blizzard gene will come out as black eclipse, even though its a BB.
I havent prove out this theory, but thats just what i heard. :D

that's true. A Blazing Blizzard can have black eyes even though it's an albino.

The Diablo Blanco is just a R.A.P.T.O.R. Blizzard and will look the same, but with red eyes.

thank you!
so BB will only have solid black eyes instead of solid red eyes, even it is albino
it is opposite to super snow albino (really surprise me!)

in other words, if i have a blizzard with two solid red eyes, then it is db?

Blazing blizzard will have red, not black eyes. The eye pigment in blizzard gene is not related to the eye pigment in eclipse gene. If the eyes are black then it isn't albino. Test breeding to two copy eclipse non related to blizzard would be the way to go. If it is a male bb then it's best to breed to a few eclipse females. If its a female then I'd test at least four seasons. If you get a non eclipse then you know it is just the blizzard gene showing eye pigment.

i've seen multiple BB w/ black eyes.

i even have a BB male w/ black snake eyes

It’s somewhat of an anomaly, sort of like a Super Snow Bell Enigma being able to produce black (or at least very dark, in some cases) pigment.

id say that the eyes are just really dark red. it is physically impossible for an albino to have black eyes, unless it isnt albino.

Thanks.
If blazing blizzard can have red eyes, then how we we distinguish between red-eye bb and diablo blanco physically? I am saying physically coz I am going to buy a db, but I don't know whether it is a real db or just a red-eye bb.

either trust the breeder or test breed. ask the breeder as many questions as you can think of. ask for pictures of the parents and grandparents. it is good for your records to have lineage. i always try to get pictures and documents of the family tree as far back as i can.

I am new to the gecko world and i am buying 6 diablo blancos and i was pretty sure what i was getting. Now i read a DB is just R.A.P.T.O.R.Blizzard and will look the same, but with red eyes. Can some one please tell me what a R.A.P.T.O.R.Blizzard is? I really don't want to make an expensive mistake. How about some pictures? I tried to find DB pictures but have not had much luck. Thanks for any and all the help i can get.
