Hi guys

I was a breeder of tegus 10 years ago but stopped when I went to college, I got a leo gecko from a buddy and picked up two others at a local show. The more I learn about the morphs the more want to work at breeding leos.To be honest i'm completely lost with these diablo blancos? I see many being listed as mack snow diablo blancos and just diablo blancos. Is there different types of this morph?I would like to work with these

I just picked up the book the leo gecko the next generation, is there a recomended book on morphs?

The Diablo Blanco is a triple recessive morph. Consisting of the morphs Tremper Albino, Blizzard and Eclipse. Breeding a recessive to a normal you will get normal looking babies that are 100% het for Albino. In this case if you breed a DB to a normal you will get normals that are het for tremper, blizzard, eclipse (DB). The Mack snow is a co-dominant, meaning that it has a super form (super snow). If you breed a Mack snow to Normal 50% of the babies will be Mack snow and the other 50% will be normal. So breeding a Mack snow to a Diablo Blanco you will get Mack snows and Normals that are het for DB. Breeding Mack snow het DB x Mack snow het DB you will have a chance at getting a Mack Snow DB or even a Super Snow DB which is the whitest gecko you could possibly get. The chances from that exact breeding is very slim. You will have better success if you just breed a Snow DB to a DB half the babies will be Diablo Blancos and the other half will be Mack Snow Diablos. These chances are not guaranteed your odds may be better or worse. Leopard Geckos the Next Generation is an excellent book especially for people who want to breed leopard geckos. Hope this helps
