Breeding causes alot of stresses and can hurt the animals if it happens too often. You should separate them now.

Im sorry but you leave your breeding animals together like 24/7? I mean that causes TONS of stress on the female. One breeding is all you need for about 3-5 clutches. I would definitely separate them if you already haven't.

Well When I was talking about breeding I was talking about last year when my Male jungle which obviously isn't this one! he had two females with him so its not like he was at her 24/7. Yes i understand they could get stressed, but I am watching their weights to see if the male is causing problems and also if I see excessive scarring on the tail. Also last year I got many unfertile eggs so I kept him with her for almost the whole season because the only good eggs were the last 3 clutches. So thanks for your concerns everyone ,but I have it under control this year. Ok thanks for looking I know you rather see the enigma post so sea ya.:beatnik2: ..........I dont smoke LOL

Just be careful, thats a very risky method you are using. You DEFINITELY need to watch to see if she starts losing weight ,or worse get Eggbound.

what risky method? If your talking about keeping both together than I don't know what your talking about. Many people keep their geckos together year round. Its called a "Group" so I don't know why everyone is saying its bad because If you have a pair together and you don't see them breed it doesn't mean they aren't doing it so For all you know they are doing it all the time ecept when you desterb them so same thing except I actually saw them last year cuss I kept them in a place I could see them when ever I went to my room.

....most people keep groups of 1.5+ together all year. Sure people do keep 1.1, but it is alot more risky. Dont give us a hard time, we try to help and make suggestions.

LOL ! Give us a hard time????? Well its seems like you guys were giving me a hard time well just forget it Matt I always seem to get in an argument with you. Thanks for the advice and My method has worked at least because My geckos is now gravid and when I verify the eggs she is carrying are fertile I will remove the male. Thanks again for the comments;)

Im sorry Edgar, I am just trying to help. I am just saying, a female can retain sperm for 3-5 clutches before she needs to be re-introduced to the male again.

I wasn't give you a problem, I was advising you on somethings. We get in arguments because I am the only one who ever speaks out against your attitude. Dont take our advice, I dont care.

I don't think that we should start a fight over this. It's truly not worth it.

My male and female pairs are usually together for three days, unless I see them breed. Just lets not fight in this thread.

this pair I would say 3 times because I keep my geckos in a rack system and I cover them with a tarp because it gets cold so it stays warm. The tarp blocks out any light and so they cant see anything till uncover it for about an hour each day and thats when most of the time they feed or breed. They haven't breed alot this year as to last year My other group did which is the one I was talking about not this one, But last year he was with up to 4 females and then two towards the end. Yeah as said I know the risks and I know the sighs of stress and such, but I will remove away from each other as soon I I know the eggs are fertile.

What do you mean when you know the eggs are fertile? Just because a girl throws out one infertile clutch, doesn't mean the next one will be infertile again....

I know if the gecko trows out a fertile clutch the next one will most likely be fertile, till its her 3-5 clutch. I don't know if I wrote something confusing ,but if I did sorry about that.
