Differences between AFT and Leopards?

Could someone tell me the physical differences between an AFT and a leopard please? I have a leo that doesn't quite look like all our others. he is shorter built and his tail is shorter and fatter. Also his "ear vents" ( not sure if that is the correct term for them) is more closed then our leos. I can't see through his like I can theirs. My husband bought him and he really didn't bother to ask anything about him ( grrrrr:main_no: ) so I am not sure.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question. I looked in our books and it really didn't tell me in any of the ones that I have. We are also fairly new and they kind of look alike to me the few that I have seen.

Thats a leopard gecko. If you look on here you will see the difference. AFT's are never yeallow or have spots. They are usually brown and dark brown!

ok thanks. I am glad to hear that. I had bred him with one of my female leopards and then a couple people pointed out that he looked "funny" and it worried me that maybe he wasn't what we thought.
