Different colour Gecko eyes?

Hello, I'm new to the forum and picked up my first beautiful leopard gecko this morning, Yoshi.

He has just shed and I've noticed he has a ruby red eye and a grey eye with iris in middle. I was just wondering if this is normal? He is a Raptor and Im pretty sure it's not shedding skin over the eyes as I've dabbed them with cotton wool.

Can anyone help?

RAPTOR leopard geckos are a combination of traits, including something called Eclipse. Eclipse is a mutation that causes variable amounts of extra pigment in the eyes. The eclipsed areas become all black/red, and affected eyes lack clear irises in many cases. Sounds as though your gecko has one eye eclipsed (the ruby red one) and one normal eye.

Eclipsing is totally harmless; your gecko won't have any eye problems due to it.
