i have two leopard geckos that are the same age and in the same coditions but just different tanks. however the one male is chunkier and more solid along with having a broader neck and head. the female is a little slender with a smaller neck and head. but the female actually eats more. is this normal?

Adult males have thicker broader heads and necks than females. Adult males tend to eat a lot less than females as well. So yes it is normal. Females usually have a thicker tail than males as they tend to be more slender but with broader heads.
