Digestion Time Period

Has anyone been able to determine how long it takes their Leo's on average to digest their food?

I fed several of my leos 2 or 3 large Dubias Nymphs two days ago and they have not defecated yet.

They all have flexwatt running under their tubs and the floor temps on the inside of the tubs is about 90 to 91 degrees on the hot side and 79 to 81 degrees on the cool side.

I think the only way to really determine digestion time would be to fast them for a week or so to give them plenty of time to digest all of their food and defecate it. Then feed them well and see how long it takes for them to defecate.

Maybe some of you have already done this experiment and know the answer.

Please let me know.

Thank you,

Eric

Well mine seem to have a movement just about everyday. But being they eat everyday its really not known what the space is in between. I will have to think about this for a bit.

mine used to pass every day when she was growing more rapidly, but now she takes about a day and half to two days to go. idk, it might be because i changed to feeding her every other day now.

My babies go every day, Peppa does most of the time, Yoshi goes every other day....Daisy can be a pain. She is up and down with her eating atm and sometimes doesnt go poopy for 3-4 days.

I blame that on the fact she will sometimes spend all day in her moist hide which is pretty cool. I dont really wanna take the hide out cos its her fave place but i dunno how to make her sit in it less :(

Thank you all for your replies. They helped me a lot. I see a small fluctuation in time and I think there is no set time other then the individual gecko's themselves. But it's pretty much sometime between 12 and 36 hours.

Thank you,

Eric
