Digging

My male subadult leopard gecko, just started digging like crazy. He stopped just a second ago and in fact he is now doing it again. He has dug the entire corner out. He is also trying to dig into the glass like crazy. It looks as if he wants to get out. He has done this when he was younger but it is just rediculous now. He literally sits on his basking rock, stares at the ground, gets off, digs the glass and ground, and the goes back to his rock. Is he trying to tell me something? I took him out 5 minutes ago and he is at it again. Is he just having fun, stress, or some medical thing I need to know about. Thank you!

Are you sure its a male and not a female trying to lay her eggs?

He has the bulge and the glands are pretty prominent. He was a she until a couple weeks ago, but it is still pretty obvious now

When he was younger he dug in his calcium dish as well.

All of my males who are doing the deed right now are all digging or acting like they are trying to dig. I think it is just something that comes when they are sexually active or want to be sexually active.

That makes sense.... he would just be becoming sexually mature now. That stops my worries. Thank you!
