Digging

My female leo’ was bred a week ago, but is already showing signs of digging is that normal?

It varies. I have one that digs for a couple of weeks, and 1 that only digs for a couple of days before laying.

I have one that started digging 1 whole week before her first clutch (energetic excited digging). Then, one day before laying the first clutch on Day 26, she did a slow tired dig and popped them into a tiny hole. She is carrying her second clutch right now, and started excited digging last night on Day 24. im hoping she waits for day 26 again because i am away from home for 1.5days.

She waiting until the night of Day 26 (technically at 1am on Day 27) after I got back. However, when I got back, Rosie and Slinky had already layed eggs. :0 Rosie layed her second clutch on Day 18 (barely dug a tiny hole for only 1 egg....did not bury the other egg). Slinky layed her first clutch on Day 18, but they were very small... :O

Every gecko is different. She is probably testing out where to lay her eggs. Some leos (like mine) just sit in the moist hide for an hour and others dig right away.
