So I'm pretty sure my crestie is disgusted by repashy CGD.. I've tried since I got him 2 weeks ago to get him to eat and he turns his head in disgust! He's even reluctant to lick droplets of it off of his nose. And it's obvious he's not eating it while I'm asleep, as he's only pooed once since I got him.

I don't think he's sick.. And as I looked into it more I realized that the breeder I purchased him from feeds their geckos a different diet..

Do you think he'll refuse to eat anything else but this particular mix? I'm really starting to get worried. Especially after watching my boyfriend's brother's new crested gecko so willing be hand fed repashy CGD.

They'll get used to it.

There are also fruit flavored types made by repashy now, you can try those too.

Cresteds take a while to start eating when you get them. 2 weeks isnt enough time to worry yet, it's still getting use to its new home and normally takes a few weeks before they start.

CGD has flavor already mixed in, the newest stuff has rose flavor, if you have the older then it has banana.

Yeah I would def. stick to CGD. For the first few feedings you could blend some peaches or mango and do 25% blended fruit to 75% CGD. I would not add anything else to it though. You can get frozen non-sweetened slices of peaches and cubes of mango at wally-world, or some of you local grocery stores.

this has been discussed many times before inlcuding a post by me. No matter what stick with it if you want them to get used to it. Eventually theyre going to eat it. I find insects to be a pain, and at first i was frustrated that my geckos werent eating it. After a while i would notice tongue marks in the food. So all is well.
