DIY Fecal Exams?

I was wondering if anyone here did their own fecal exams. The reason im asking is because i am trying to get into more advanced reptile keeping practices. I have all i need except for a parasite ID reference. So, i was wondering, if someone could scan and send me or possibly fax me a copy of their parasite identification reference material.

I'm learning to run tests, using a digital microscope. The book, Understanding Reptile Parasites, by Roger Klingenberg, DVM (2nd edition) is an excellent reference and highly recommended in many reptile circles. Plus there's a ton of photos in it. I picked up a copy at a show but it's also available on http://amazon.com for under $15. Good luck!

I really can't afford a book and on top of amazon's ridiculous shipping waits. But, would it be too much to ask for you to scan and send me the Identification section so i can figure out what i find is?

Just photos will not give you an understanding of exactly what you are looking at. I'm sorry, but I cannot fax or send you the information. If you sincerely want to learn about parasites and the corresponding treatment protocols, study is required. You will need to invest in the materials. Be patient, save a few bucks for the book, and move ahead.
