Do eggs get bigger

Do gecko eggs get bigger as they get closer to hatching?

The eggs will swell some a week before hatching

They definitely do before hatching and I think they grow a little even before that. I haven't measured, but it sure seems like they do.

I just weighed some of my eggs. The eggs layed May 24 weighed 4 grams each. The eggs that were layed May 2 and should hatch any day now each weighed 8 grams! I didn't weigh these 8 gram eggs when they were first layed, but I would guess that they have doubled in size. I think this growth has happened over the last two weeks.
