Okay here we go.
I have 2 Bell female that rapidly grow (one faster than the other but that´s not a problem at all as both are grwoing without Problems^^)

Well They poop every evening or sometimes every second andthe make let´s say big poop^^.

And than there are my new Geckos.

I have got 2 small ones a MSB with 17 and a TT with 22 gramms. Both are growing but not that fast but I can say I find every second or third day poop so that I would say that´s okay.

But I too have a MShB female which was around 3 Month old when I got her(that was the 15th of september) and already had her 38 gramms.

No I only find every 3er to 4th day poop and since the 15th she only made it up to 39 gramms which somehow makes me wonder...

And than I have 2 adult Geckos a MS and a MSS.
Both of them poop rarely but I can say that the MS has the 2nd shed at mine since the 15th of september so I think he is fine?
The MSS hasn´t shed right now and I haven´t seen her eaten and had only around 2 or 3 times poop since the 15th of september.

The TT and MSB are around 3-4 month old and the MShB too. The MS is 1 1/2 year or so and the MSS too.

The TT and MSB are gaining weight (the MSB takes more time which sucks as he should be a soon breeder..) but the MShB and the MS and MSS aren´t gaining weight so far only on all 3 around 1 -3 gramms each.

So my questions are:
1. Is their something to worry when they don´t loose weight and look healthy?
2. Do adult Leos eat less than growing ones?
3. How often do your Geckos poop at all?

I´ll doing the Standard Vet procedure next month for excrementcheking on worms and cryptos but what do you think is it normal what´s up with my Geckos?

I mean normaly they would eat around 2-3 times a week but I give food all the time and my Bell female are growing extremly and as the MShB was only 3 month on 38 gramms I find it crazzy that it stops to grow right now... and I hoped to get the female MSS over the 50 gramms but maybe she´ll be a under 50 female?

Thanks for reading.

bye

I think what you are describing is pretty much normal. Look at it this way... most babies (human and animal) eat much more frequently and poop a LOT mor than adults! They are growing, and their bodies need constant nutrition and energy to do so. Full grown creatures only need enough nutrition to maintain their bodies, and eat less frequently and therefore poop less often.

I can't imagine going to the bathroom as often as any of my kids did when they were babies!

Hi Marcia

thats a good point but what do you sa to a 3 month old 38 gramms Leo which stopped growing since I had it and gained only 1 gramm?

3 Month and 38 gramms and I have her arround 12 Days and only 1 gramm gained so far.

And I wondered cause the MSS Femal which is over 1 1/2 year old and around 44 gramms has the same weight as one of the Bells which also has 44 gramms but is still like a raptor^^ eat eat eat eat ^^

I just hope that they are all right^^

First of all, many MSS have histories of not eating or growing as well as other morphs. I have a 2-year old female that will not eat unless it is put right under her nose, has not ever gone over 48 grams in weight, and has never ovulated.

Second, babies grow at the fastest rate, and tend to slow down when they hit the 30-35 gram mark. Also, if you have only had the gecko for less than two weeks, it may need to settle in to it's new environment a little more before it's metabolism evens out.

Nothing to be concerned about! ;)
