I didnt think I wanted any Enigmas...but I saw a Nova male that I absolutely LOVE!:D

I know they are an enigma x raptor, but Im very "green" to the whole genetic thing, and wanted to know...Do I want a Nova? And do I want a male nova?

What breeding projects are they good for?

I dont know if I want to get involved???:main_rolleyes:

Well are you planning on breeding Novas? Or you doing something different?

I have a nova and love her, and I'll be getting more ::main_yes: but I'm also a fan of enigma's :p

*cough* I wanna see the male :D

i had some trepidations before getting enigmas as well, but now im hooked. not simply for the fact that they have amazing colorations, but their personalities are what won me over. i have some amazing novas and enigmas that show absolutely no signs of the syndrome, but then again i have a handful that show extreme signs. in my opinion it comes down to your intentions as a possible breeder of enigmas. i myself have set a goal to try and lessen the syndrome by breeding only the enigmas that show little or no symptoms to other non-enigma morphs. i would never breed enigma x enigma though. i know the enigma subject it hotly debated all over, but my personal experiences have been nothing but positive so far. in the end it comes down to you. if you do produce an enigma with extreme symptoms, are you willing to hand feed it if necessary? most people would probably cull a gecko that is not able to target and eat on its own, and if i produced on i would probably be inclined to do so as well. my only experience with the enigmas that have really bad symptoms are rescues or pet only juvies and adults. eventually though you could produce enigmas like my female below, and she has zero signs of the syndrome...

nova's can be used for loads, like dreamsickles, BEE's, black hole's, raptors, enigmas, novas, super novas. and more...

My Current females include:
a raptor, a red stripe emerine, sunglow, bold stripe bandit, and a bold jungle bandit, and an afghan, and hopefully soon a nice white TUG snow...would he work with any of those to make anything interesting?

The coolest project that i could think of out of the females that you have would be a TUG Snow Nova. More then likely you'll have to test breed out the TUG snow as being het or non het Tremper and the Nova Male would do that not a problem.
