Do leopard geckos carry ecoil or a dangerous disease?

They can be carriers of salmonella. You will lower the risk greatly if you practice good hand washing techniques after handling your gecko.

The chance is pretty low. Unless you're eating reptile poop, I don't see you getting it. I do make sure to wash my hands after doing anything with them, but I've forgotten before and then realized I forgot after I ate something and I've never been sick.

So yes, the risk is there. However, if you wash your hands before eating/touching your face, then you'll be fine. =)

Yeah chances are low just like other reptiles or animals for that matter. I always have some hand sanitizer for before and after handling my reptiles.
