Okay, so for a few day now ..I been having problems on sexing one of my leo's thinking it was a male ..but turns out I'm 1000% sure it's a female now ..since I had the two in one 20gl.
During that time thinking one was a male ..I put a divider up. But one of the leo's kept going crazy trying to climb over the other side ..the divider was ALL the way up touching the top of the screen and SOMEHOW she ended up on the other side. I have no idea how ...I did see her climbing but I have no idea how she managed to push open the screen and get on the other side. Is it normal for leo's to become attached to each other? They seem to always be together too. No fighting at all. The tempts are all right so I know it's not them trying to get heat off each other ...but here I took a snap shot of her climbing.

P.S I know the first picture the corner of the tank is lifted up, but I was halfway lifting it up.

Most people will tell you no, leos are not capable of forming attatchments. I do know that I had a pair that spent most of their lives together. My male was 16 and my female was 15 1/2 when they passed away a few months ago. We seperated them once after we got them and they both stopped eating. As soon as I placed them back together they both started acting normal. It could have been coincidence. They also died a few hours apart. Yes I did have necropsies performed on both and I had crypto tests run. I spent alot of money to be told that they both just passed of natural causes....leo old age to put it simply. In my very simple opinion for whatever reasons these 2 SEEMED to have formed a bond of some sort. I know others will call it crazy and disagree and thats ok. Everyone has an opinion.

I don't know about a bond between two but most any animal will be comforted by familiarity. Maybe it's a bond of sorts. They claim things as theirs, like hides etc, and can become territorial. Or two geckos that have friendly personalities may claim another gecko each other as their friend. I guess that would be a bond of sorts.

i think its easy for us to believe that two geckos have a bond. But im not sure they are too bothered about it.
familiar surrounding and life is comforting, so once theyve been spereated its no longer familiar for them and so they may act strange and different but i dnt think they literally miss the other gecko.
just my opinion.
