I just got some and they are FREAKING HUGE. I got this feeder thing and the creepy things are so big that I can hear them. HEAR THEM!! I want to get rid of them as soon as possible so... do I have to cut off/ crush their heads?

Haha I thought the same thing the first few times I bought them!! I was pretty paranoid and crushed their heads for a few weeks but got over it after reading all the folks around here that feed them and have not had a problem. Since then I've been feeding 2-3 of them to my breeding females without crushed heads every day or two and have had no problems. Most of them seem to give the head a good chomp on the way down. Even those that haven't gotten chomped haven't cause issues so I'm getting more and more relaxed about feeding them.

I have never done anything to the Superworms before feeding them to my Geckos.
The Geckos almost always go for the head first anyways and crush it themselves before eating it. :)
They are gross feeders but you shouldn't have any issues just feeding them un-crushed, lol.

I´ve never heard that the head should be cut off... but I´ve started doing it. My leo ate them at first - no problem... but then she started to fear them. She both wanted then and did not... and when she had eaten one she´d quickly disappear into her favorite hide refusing to eat any more. "What?", I thought. She did this every time and got less and less interested. These worms have a pretty good ability to bite. I figure they bit her. They were certainly not dead when she swallowed them - she did not crush their heads before swallowing them.
...so now they always loose their heads before going to dinner! ;)
