Iv'e read everywhere on their site, i have no money at least until the end of the month after having a big section of reply's from my thread:

http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?p=579833&posted=1#post579833

It seems she needs a Vet, i have no money till the end of the month it may be to late, i don't really want to give her away to a rescue centre just for her to be treated. The RSPCA is only down the road from me, i understand you need to be on benefits etc to be seen there, all i want to know is if they actually look and check out reptiles.

Because your desire to own her is more important than her health, right?

Sometimes I wish I had a button on my keyboard that would allow me to remotely administer electric shocks to people I encounter online.

Not at all, hence the reason i said "i dont REALLY want to give her away" not - "Id rather her die than give her away" - wish i had a button that would make people read correctly and respond in the correct manor, of course id give her away if worst came to worse, if you dont know the answer to the tread etc then why post?

Sadly this situation arises quite often in the reptile world, especially with leos. They are cheap to get at a pet sore and all that, but rather expensive to fix up when they are sick. It's just a lack of knowledge with new owners not knowing how a herp needs to be medically treated. It is rather frustrating for those of us who have seen some just plain neglectful cases where the animal suffers in vain and ultimately dies because the owner 'cant get to a vet' or 'dosent have the money'. Although M_surinamensis' comment was a bit harsh, it really is the truth. Far too many leos and herps end up in this situation. Ultimately the animal suffers for its owners ignorance and yes, it can cause knowledgeable herpers to become upset when we see the same case time and time again. The point is, she needs to either see a vet (call and ask if they accept payment plans) or she needs to be given to a rescue organization or wildlife sanctuary of sorts.

I Understand completely i for one is defiantly against any form or cruelty etc and would be concerned if i was anyone else, but harsh way to say it or not there was still no need to say it like that - but yes i understand the situation, and will have to sort it out :D Thanks :)

Well let's see just how poor my reading comprehension is...

You can't treat her, because your broke ass bought an animal without factoring in the potential need for vet bills.

She needs treatment.

You don't want to turn over ownership of the animal to an individual or organization that can afford to treat her.

So you're just going to hang onto her and drag your ass around looking for a loophole to cover the costs you generated by making allowing her to get into that condition in the first place through your crappy, negligent care.

Take the animal to the local shelter, get her treatment- even if it means surrendering her, tonight. This second. Right now. Stop wasting time. She's burning calories and getting closer to death every minute you sit around with your thumb up your ass looking for someone else to take on the responsibilities that should be yours.

You can come back and whine and bitch about how mean I am- I don't give a damn, provided the message gets through your thick skull that the animal's health is the priority. Not your feelings and not your selfish desire to retain ownership even when it has become abundantly clear that you are unable to provide the proper care she needs.

For 1. I'd find a way to get the VET Bills sorted if needed, the question was does the RSPCA treat them? i never once said i would keep her despite the way her health is, i never once said i will NOT take her to a private vet nor would i let her die in my hands. i also said i WOULD take her to a rescue centre if worst comes to worst which it woont.

And right now? if i cant take her to a vet right now as its 00:35am then i cant take her to an animal sanc now can i? unless ima walk there, which is about 4 mile away she would probably freeze to death, so what good would that do?

Your jumping to conclusions and prediction what could happen, not taking into consideration that i wont let that happen nor that it might not even happen full stop.

And she's not like this because of my OWN negligence, i feed her daily, i have no sand in the bottom, the tank is perfectly fine the temp is shes eating the calcium, etc, what ever the prob is is out of my hands hence the vents in the first place, the store i bought it from was full of sand, ans she was thinner than she is now before i got her! ive fattend her up if anything - wake up?

I understand your frustration and your care, as is mine to her, obviously not as strong as yours. again

I NEVER ONCE SAID ID LEAVE HER TO DIE
I NEVER ONCE SAID I WOULDNT TAKE HER TO A VET
I NEVER ONCE SAID I WOULDNT TAKE HER TO A SANC IF NEEDED BE

now get THAT into your thick skull - and stop repeating yourself and i wouldn't have to repeat myself - i respect the fact your concerned about it.
And thank you for the reply.
