If you don't get the title, what i mean is do you put your rep. in another enclosure so it can eat?

When i feed my leo, i always put him in another container and drop the crickets there. I don't like putting the crickets in his "home" because the crickets can hide at so many spots. If i was to put the crickets in his home, i'd have to remove everything so the crickets won't hide. I am too lazy for this so i just put him in another container and put the crickets in there too. Once he's done, i put him back in his home and let him do his thing.

Will this cause any problems for my leo?

In my 10 years of keeping and breeding reptiles and frogs i have rarely felt the need to separate my animals into a feeding bin or tank except for when they attack each other over food. for example my geckos of any specie i have always fed them in their home. i think of it as when the lights go out they get their hunt on and it gives them something to do other then just roam their enclosure.

now my monitor lizards i have separated or added dividers to the tank so that they can each eat in peace with out attacking or being attacked by others.

and when i use to house baby pythons together and was feeding them i would separate into small bins because breaking up fights like that is difficult and normally results in me getting bit.

but as for the geckos no i just feed them in their enclosure no matter what the food item is.
