i dunno, about generalizing reptiles like that, my bearded dragon noticeably enjoys me holding him and certain other things.

but yeah, leos i would say either tolerate it or don't. i have one that doesnt mind climbing all over me and wont run off my body unless i stick my hand in her tank and i have another that does not like to be handled at all.

Animals are capable of a lot more than people give them credit for.

I have one that noticeably loves being handled, and when I let her walk around on the floor for some exercise will climb up into my lap. Clare is mood dependent on if she likes it, but when she's in the mood she has fun playing.

I have one that I think likes to be held. He doesn't always crawl around like he's trying to run or get somewhere. And when he does crawl up my arm, and if I grab him to pick him up he doesn't fight my hand. This is a 4 month old too, not some grown up adult. Now I have 2 where they're always roaming around on my hands & arm. If one gets up on my arm getting too high, and I grab her, she fights my hand and want to keep climbing.

They're all different from my experience, some tolerate handling more than others, and some are perfectly comfortable just laying there & chill. Maybe some people are right, they don't "enjoy" anything because they are as smart as bricks. But we're human and we like to think that they enjoy it, it's part of what makes having them as pets fun imo.

Mine wait on their ledge till I pick them up or sometimes they will follow my hands around and try to climb on me when I clean, and they also have jumped from their ledges onto my hands

Neara seems to not mind it, but at the same time doesn't seem to enjoy being taken out of her cage. As soon as shes out she's fine though
Niko/Kameo is still young, so even touching them is something they don't approve of. We'll have to see when he/she gets older.

If a hand enters Tuco's tank, it's coming out with her on it. I credit it to her just being adventurous though.

My leo Nameless loves being "taken out" of his tank & running around my room but when i hold him he doesn't seem to notice that I'm holding him, just the fact that it's somewhere new to run around.

I most of ours tolerate it really well, two in particular seem to enjoy being taken out. The male will come over to the edge of his tank when I come into the room and stare me down. When I open it up and put my hand in, he presses his nose to my fingers first (no idea why) then hops on. I can sit at the computer with him for a good hour and he just sits on my shoulder relaxing. Once in a while he'll explore.

On the other end of the spectrum, the guy in my avatar is a nut. Can be a pain to get out to clean his tub. Can be spazzy, nippy, and has even gone as far as almost dropping his tail when picked up for cleaning. We don't take him out unless we have to. Unfortunetally he trashes his bin all the time. Little brat.

Whenever I come into the room, my geckos would come out from hiding and when I mess around the tank and clean it, they would try to climb on my hand and they like to come out and walk around the table and explore the things there. :)
