Does anyone else's gecko(s) go through feeder phases?

Hey all.

I've noticed that my gecko goes through "phases" of what he does and doesn't like to eat. He used to gobble up Phoenix worms, but now I give them to him and he doesn't seem to go after them like he used to. Then his obsession was crickets, and after a while he would pay them no attention when I put them in his tank. Then, most recently, it was mealworms, and he ate them like there was no tomorrow, and now he's kind of like "EH." Has anyone else experienced this? I think I might go with silkworms next, as soon as Coastal Silkworms has more. (As a side topic, does anyone have any experience with silkworms?)

I keep my geckos on a varied diet, so that they don't get bored. I feed mealworms as a staple, but i throw in freshly molted mealworm beetles, dubia roaches, phoenix worms, and anything else that my local reptile store happens to have in stock when I go to buy mice :) The veriety generally keeps them from getting bored with their food I think :)

And I have heard that silkworms are one of the best feedrs out there because they are rich in vitamins and calcium. When I see them at the store I mentioned, they are very wiggly like catterpillars so i think they wouold be interesting enough for the geckos :)

i have had this happen to me a few times. One of my geckos gets tired of mealworms so then I switch him to superworms and we go back and forth every now an then, but as he has been an adult for awhile, he doesn't seem to do it as much, tends to stay with superworms.

Imagine if you were only allowed to eat one, single food for weeks on end... you'd get bored too!

And yes, silkworms are awesome! The only drawback is that I have to buy the silkworm food to raise them or pay for the cups of silkworms...

So far, haven't had a gecko go through eating phases.
None of them really care for phoenix worms though. Not that I blame them, the ones I've managed to find locally tend to smell quite awful.

Thanks for your replies, everyone :D I actually mix it up quite a bit, I just give him more of the stuff he seems to like, which is when he gets sick of it lol. I'm glad that silkworms seem to be popular, I will definitely buy some! :)
