Hello
Looking into either Fatails or leopards . Think fatails can be housed in a pair or am I wrong and could easily fight like leopards ?

I only know from reading on sites . Though I live in gecko "land" -House -ashy-one sighting of skunk-3 sightings of tokays (Florida) I have never kept a gecko.

Interested in keeping a "ground" dwelling type .

Thanks

Lou

Hi and you have no problmes? I don´t know nothing about AFTs but I would like to house a few next year. My question would be as everyone says at least 2 or 3 female Leos to a male cause of the stress that it could be the same on AFTs or are the male AFTs not so "XXX"^^.

I never had a problem with one pair. I did have a problem with the two females when I had a trio.

It really depends on the geckos in question.

You really need to be careful because a Fat tail can do serious damage in a fight. It helps to be able to recognise mating behavior, fighting behavior ,etc.

When in doubt you can keep them alone. I just kept them as a pair because they had been that way when I got them.

I think two females would be fine if they were not laying. I only got my fight when dominance switched and they were all hormonal. Similiar to how some normally mellow female lizards get nasty to other females around egg laying or birth.

It seems these geckoes and Leopards have individual personalaties . From what I have read in this forum cases differ.
I keep planted fish tank with tetras and treefrogs in porch planted enclosure where as a whole no such thing . Never thought there was such a thing in reptiles either
